Max Gimblett has been selected to represent Buddhism in "The Word of God", opening September 17 2011, at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg. Comprised of five solo exhibitions, each featured artist represents one of the five great religions Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judasim and Islam.The Museum has published the following commentary on its website:
At a time when political parties fight viciously for the higher moral ground, when controversy reigns in the building of mosques and when bigotry, abortion & same sex marriage are wedges of division in our culture there still remains room for interfaith understanding.
The Warhol Museum has in its sixteen year history, presented difficult or controversial imagery and art in order to spark community dialogue.
