Liyen Chong at Page Blackie Gallery


Page Blackie Gallery is proud to announce we now represent Liyen Chong.

Liyen gained her undergraduate degree in Painting, and Masters in Fine Art (with Distinction) in Design at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.

In 2005 she won a travelling scholarship with which she visited over forty cities in fourteen countries around the world. She has regularly exhibited in public galleries in New Zealand since 2006 and more recently in Sydney, Australia. Liyen's work has been collected by The Chartwell Trust as well as prominent private collections in both New Zealand and Australia.

In 2008, Liyen received the runner up prize in the Wallace Art Awards.

In addition to her art practice, Liyen has worked as a part time lecturer in Graphic Design since 2006 and is currently teaching at Unitec.
