Harry Watson in new exhibition at Museum of Wellington

The Museum of Wellington City and Sea opened a new exhibition last night entitled Back & Beyond & Here - New Zealand Art for the Young and Curious. Based on Gregory O'Brien's book, the exhibition questions how personal and national identity is defined through art and challenges visitors to explore their own identity in relation to their community.

Featured in the exhibition is Harry Watson's triptych Catherine, inspired by Wellington surveyor Robert Parks and his daughter Catherine. The exhibition runs until the 29th of May 2011.
