Collection Focus: NZ Pop is in its last week at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth. The exhibition, comprised of works from the Govett-Brewster Permanent Collection, features works by Page Blackie Gallery artists Dick Frizzell and Paul Hartigan. Max Gimblett leads a sumi ink workshop at New York School of Visual Arts
Earlier this month Page Blackie Artist Max Gimblett was invited to the New York School of Visual Art by department chair Tom Huhn to teach a sumi ink workshop to his senior thesis class. This is the second year Max has lead a workshop for the school. See here for further images of the workshop.

Suter Gallery: West East Exhibition
The Suter Gallery, Nelson, is currently showing an exhibition entitled West East which explores the influence of Orientalism in New Zealand art. Showcasing a broad range of artists and media, the show includes work by Page Blackie Gallery artists Max Gimblett and Neil Dawson. The exhibition runs until the 17th of October and further details can be viewed here.
