Andrew Drummond Book Launch

On Wednesday evening Christchurch Art Gallery launched a new publication for Page Blackie Gallery artist Andrew Drummond's comprehensive survey exhibition Observation/ Action/ Reflection.

The publication features extensive installation images alongside essays by Jennifer Hay, Bruce Barber, Peter Leech and Pamela Hansford as well as an interview with John Finlay.

Andrew Drummond: Observation/ Action/ Reflection is showing at Christchurch Art Gallery until the 5th of September.

Dick Frizzell to feature at Semi-Permanent Design Symposium 2010

Page Blackie Gallery artist Dick Frizzell and his son Otis will be presenting at Semi-Permanent this year, an annual design symposium bringing together speakers from all over the world in a broad range of creative disciplines. The only event of its type in Australasia, New Zealand organisers 'The Church' describe Semi-Permananent as "a global gathering of pure talent, new ideas, conversation and visual splendour." This year's event runs from August 20-21 at the Aotea Centre, Auckland and more info can be found at http://www.semipermanent.co.nz/
